While my wardrobe is severly limited these days, due to the large bulge out in front, there are a few perks.
- Elastic waist pants that just pull on without zipping or buttoning or anything. L-O-V-E them.
- Borrowing, and wearing with no shame whatsoever, clothes from people you know and have seen them wear before. You will of course return the clothes when you are done with them, in perfect, pristine condition, and will do the same with clothes you purchased yourself by loaning them to other pregnant friends in the future. It's great!
- Being able to get away with WAY more-casual clothes in my Business Casual office.
- Wearing comfortable shoes. Thank God flats are stylish again these days.
- Plunging necklines that show off your new, fabulous, voloputuous figure.
- Did I mention elastic-waist pants?
Of course, I can barely bend to tie my shoes these days, but that's a minor detail. Who cares?! I can just pull on my dress-pants like they were leggings, and slip on some loafers, and I'm good to go!

Did you get the pants that go over or go under your belly?
There is a jogger in my neighborhood that wears, from what I can tell, her old pants just under her tummy. So as she run/walks you can see her belly button—cute if it is a friend not so cute if it is a stranger.
:)
Oh my, Wendy Bird - is this jogger pregnant or just poochy?
Katie Lady, you will love stretch pants from now on, even after the Baby Belly is long gone. Not that they are so fashionable, but I'm just sayin'....
No mistaking...preggers. Belly button is poked the other way.
And for the record...because of the comfort factor...I no longer enjoy wearing belts or anything tight around my middle.
remember on friends when rachel was pregnant and she wore tops with her big belly showing? i'm sure your office would LOVE that on casual fridays!!
but please don't.
and you KNOW i'm an advocate of boobies. my motto is "show'em if you got'em"!!
I still love stretchy pants!! When I was pregnant 30 yrs. ago) I was teaching dance and wore Big Mama Panty Hose (that was the brand name!)with stretchy trunks and big tops. Boy, was I cute!!
Yeah, no belly-showing here. Not in my office, anyway, and it's starting to be too chilly to do that anyway!
Wendy bird, I wear both over and under the belly. I'm already wearing some of the 'full panel' ones, where it comes up fully over your belly under your boobs!
Aren't those pants hilarious? I always felt like I had my pants in my armpits! Now I can't stand to have them at my waist - gotta be below the belly button for me.
Imagine those full panel pants on a shortie like me. you could skip the bra completely. Pants and a cami all in one.
I can remember when Bubba's Mom was pregnant with Baby Jill and she wore those Big Mama pantyhose but panty hose had not been completely perfected back then and Bubba's Mom had a hard time keeping them up. I bought her pair of children's suspenders and gave them to her as a joke! Do you remember that, Bubba's Mom?
